Who we are

What we collect

When you fill in our quote form or contact form, we collect the answers you give. This includes your name, email address, phone number, the type of job, the kind of property, a rough idea of the job size, the postcode of the job, and anything you write in the message box. We also record the page you sent the form from and the date and time.

Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address and browser type. These are used to keep the website secure and working.

How we use your information

• To read your enquiry, contact you about it and give you a quote.
• To arrange and carry out the job if you decide to go ahead.
• To reply to general questions you send us.
• To keep a record of enquiries in case of a query or complaint later.

We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists.

Who we share it with

To quote for and carry out your job, we may share your details with the person who does the work. That can be one of the handymen who work with us, or a specialist we arrange, such as a Gas Safe registered engineer or a registered electrician. We only share what they need to contact you and do the job. Where a specialist runs their own business, their own privacy notice will also apply.

We also use service providers to run the website and email, such as our hosting company. They only process your information on our instructions.

Our lawful basis

We process your information because you have asked us to, so that we can respond to your enquiry. When you tick the box on our forms, you also give your consent for us to use your details to reply to you and arrange the job. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months, then delete them. If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we will.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and our fonts are stored on our own server rather than loaded from a third party. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it and to withdraw your consent. Email [email protected] and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
